I’m Andrea

American Mahjong instructor and the heart behind Heirloom Mahjong.

What started as an instant love for the game quickly became a passion for sharing it with others. Mahjong creates connection — around tables, across generations, and within families and friendships. It brings together people who might never have met and turns moments into traditions.

I’m here to guide you on your Mahjong journey, from first tile to lifelong love, and help you make this beautiful game part of your story.

More than tiles —
its a tradition.

Mahjong is a tile-based game with roots stretching back to 19th century China. Played with beautifully crafted tiles, its a game of strategy, skill, memory, and a little bit of luck — but above all, it’s a game of connection.

The American version, popularized in the 1920s, carries its own rich heritage — think card nights, laughter, and a tradition passed down through generations of women. Today, Mahjong is experiencing a beautiful revival, welcoming a whole new generation to the table.
